The Forming of the Laughing Volcano
It is with great happiness and joy as well as gratitude and humility that I am presenting my new and improved website on this 10/10 day. A day of angelic presence, clarity of vision, and good fortune. I invite you all to enjoy and be happy, as that has been my life’s mission to express my happiness through my art to share with you!
Mrs. Frizel was my 4th grade teacher and she recognized something creative in me at that time. We lived in Key West, Florida, which is a very magical place. From then on in my life I had an interest and a focus on being an artist.
My path has been a very winding road, but one filled with good life lessons. Some were easy, some were difficult. I find walking helps me to clear my head and focus on what is needed to be myself – a good artist. I have always had a sunny disposition but life doesn’t always dole out lollipops and rainbows. I came across this beautiful poem attributed to Ella Wheeler Wilcox (1850-1919) etched on a stone at the Norfolk Botanical Gardens and it pretty much sums up how I feel in life.
There are so many creeds
So many gods
So many paths
That wind and wind
When just the art of being kind
Is all this sad world needs.
Thank you Mrs. Frizzel for being kind to me. Let’s spread some Lava Love!
