As the creative volcano artist behind The Laughing Volcano, my passion is creating fun and whimsical images designed to spread laughter and joy. I’m on a mission to fill the world, with Lava Love gifts and positive vibes through colorful, lighthearted designs.

My Artistic Journey

My daddy's joke, "What did the man volcano say to the lady volcano? I LAVA YOU!" sparked The Laughing Volcano—a whimsical world of art and stories. Now, you're part of it! My goal is to spread Lava Love and Joy to all, young and old. Discover children's books, coloring books, prints, T-shirts, and more. It's a LAVALUTION!

My art appeals to all ages. There is a youthful exuberance in my creations, a sort of intelligent childishness. My pieces tell stories, whether it’s a simple drawing of a guitar, or a whole painting of people sitting in a room watching a baseball game. I have many influences but they boil down to Leonardo DaVinci, Jan Vermeer, Vincent Van Gogh, Norman Rockwell, Marc Chagall and Pablo Picasso all thrown in together with imagination and enthusiasm. Covering a range of mediums and approaches, my style is unique, fun, thoughtful and engaging. This Laughing Volcano world that is in my mind evokes joy and wonder. Artistic Path

  • Lifelong Artist: I've been creating art my entire life, with many successes and more to come.
  • Diverse Experience: From computer graphics for an IVF clinic to owning an art gallery and painting murals, my journey is varied. I even worked on the Venice Beach boardwalk in L.A.

Creative Mediums

  • Book Art: I use watercolors and Sharpie pens for my books.
  • Canvas & More: My paintings are oils or acrylics on almost any surface—ships, cars, walls, surfboards, even bodies!
  • Custom Work: Challenge me with commissions or mural projects. I also host private paint parties.

My Inspiration

  • Everywhere: Inspiration strikes from a song, a walk, a swim, a kiss, laughter, or a story.
  • My Hope: I aim for my art to tell you a story and, most importantly, make you smile.
